A fallen tree is resting swaddled like a newborn baby is a blanket of burlap and peacock feathers in the landscape of the High Tech Campus Eindhoven. Rebirth embraces the perpetual cycle of what we call life, as well as the silent movement of impermanence. The tree was once born, and has now died. But even after its death, the tree transforms. It changes and lives on. Life is infinite.

Moments happen, moments pass, materials make a transition through time. Time and nature will transform as the viewer also changes while experiencing the work.

A view on the work after one year laying on the hill at the Strip of High Tech Campus Eindhoven.

Melanie Maria was commissioned by TAC to make an artwork through her win with her work it still remains for the Jan Naaijkensprize 2020.
